Day 1

INDIA - ROME

On arrival at Rome Airport, our representative will take to your private car transfer for your hotel. Check in to your hotel, unpack and relax. Shed the fatigue and jet lag of your long flight. Later in the evening explore the surrounding market and you may dine at one of the fine piazza restaurants relishing Italian cuisine and wine. Welcome to Rome,< the beautiful and vibrant Italian capital lives in the present, but no other city on earth evokes its past so powerfully. For over 2,500 years, emperors, popes, artists, and common citizens have left their mark here. Archaeological remains from ancient Rome, art-stuffed churches, and the treasures of Vatican City vie for your attention, but Rome is also a wonderful place to practice the Italian-perfected il dolce far niente, the sweet art of idleness. Your most memorable experiences may include sitting at a caffè in the Campo de’ Fiori or strolling in a beguiling piazza. Rome is also one of world’s most photogenic cities – not surprising when you remember what’s here – The Vatican, The Trevi Fountain, St Peter’s Square, Spanish Steps, Colosseum…and much much more.

Day 2

ROME – VATICAN MUSEUM, SISTINE CHAPEL AND ST PETERS BASILICA TOUR / CITY VISIT

Today, in afternoon visit the Seat of the Pope and the Christian capital of Vatican. It is the smallest country and can be covered over foot. Visit the Sistine Chapel, Saint Peter’s Square & Basilica and the Vatican Museum to unravel the ancient myths. See the highlights of Vatican City with an expert guide, visiting the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica! After paying your entrance fee direct, head inside the world’s largest collection of private art with an expert guide, and see for yourself why the Vatican is a mecca for millions of travellers. Explore intriguing sites like Raphael’s Rooms and then visit the Sistine Chapel to see incredible frescoes by Michelangelo. Finish with a tour of St Peter’s Basilica, and see the beautiful ‘La Pieta’ sculpture while learning about it from your guide. As you walk through its corridors, your guide will regale you with tales of Vatican saintliness and sin – an intriguing insight into the holiest place in the Christian world. Walk through breathtaking galleries like Raphael’s Rooms, a series of interconnecting papal chambers that showcase the artistic genius of Renaissance master Raphael and his pupils. In evening return to Rome Central and revel in endless artworks and antiquities or just enjoy a gelato.

Day 3

ROME – ROME CITY TOUR

After breakfast, step out into the vibrant and lively city of Rome with remainders of its past everywhere. Depart for your Hop on Hop Off Bus Tour or Classical Rome City Tour and visit some of Ancient Rome’s best monuments and ruins. Arrive at the Roman centre and take a walking tour of the historic complex. Visit the Colosseum, The Roman Forum, Trevis Fountain and Roman Parthenon and relive the era of Gladiators. In evening laze around the lively market square of Campo de’ Fiori. Enjoy drinks and Italian food at one of the several open air bars and café and enjoy the ambience and Italian party district.

Day 4

ROME - FLORENCE

After breakfast, transfer to Rome train station just across the block to catch an early train to Florence, which takes around 2 hours. On arrival check into your hotel and later walk around the cosy Florence riverside and experience the Renaissance life. Visit the Arno River a few blocks from your hotel to get a taste of the beautiful Italian countryside amidst medieval architecture and picturesque surroundings. Witness some of the sculpture in the Museo dell’Opera del Duomo before visiting the Duomo. Follow up with a visit to the adjoining Battistero San Giovanni and the Campanile di Giotto before walking down to the Galleria dell’Accademia for a look at Michelangelo’s monumental David. End the afternoon with a sunset stroll along Ponte Vecchio and shopping for Italian chocolate or souvenirs.

Day 5

FLORENCE – PISA AND TUSCAN EXCURSIONS

Depart at noon for a half day tour of the Pisa and the Iconic Leaning Tower. Travel through the beautiful emerald hills of Tuscany to arrive at Pisa. Visit the Cathedral Square, Pisa Baptistry, Campo Santo, Duomo di Pisa, the Leaning Tower and marvel at the architecture of this world heritage site. Laze around absorbing the past or soak up the sun before returning to Florence. Learn about other monuments like Pisa Baptistry and then either enjoy some free time, or continue your walking tour to Knights’ Square (Piazza dei Cavalieri) seeing attractions like the Church of San Sisto and Scuola Normale di Pisa.

Day 6

FLORENCE – VENICE – GONDOLA RIDE

Day 7

VENICE – MURANO BURANO & TORCELLO TOUR

After breakfast, depart for a half day tour of Murano, Burano and Tocello aboard your small boat. With this fascinating boat tour Venice, you will get to know the history, art and folklore of the three major islands of the Venetian lagoon. After sailing past the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, the Public Gardens, the tip of Sant’Elena and the famous Lido beach resort, the boat arrives in Murano, known throughout the world for its glass manufacturing industry. Here we stop to visit to one of the factories. The second stop is at the picturesque island of Burano, famous not only for its lace but also for the fishermen’s houses painted in bright colours. Then after a short cruise, we reach Torcello, the earliest centre of civilization in the estuary. Only the Cathedral with its magnificent mosaics and the church of Santa Fosca remain as testimony of its former glory. We return to St.Mark’s Square. Later visit St. Mark’s Square to appreciate the untarnished splendour. Relax at the Basilica and reflect at acres of glimmering mosaics. Later claim a seat at a Grand Canal-facing table at one of the open cafes and enjoy the dynamic vibes around. Return to your hotel in evening and enjoy dinner at one of the quite restaurants.

Day 8

VENICE – MILAN

After breakfast, transfer to Venice train station to catch an early train to Milan, which takes around 1. 5 hours. On arrival check into your hotel and relax. Walk around Milan to explore this lively city bustling with business, shopping stops, fashion and historic sights. Milan lures travelers with its class, cosmopolitan swagger, and shopping culture. Its club-hopping ways and lively arts scene are also powerful attractions. Milan is like an espresso for the soul. From the Gothic Duomo to the serene canals of the Navigli District to the San Siro football stadium, it’s like stepping back into a beautiful era where buildings have ornate augmentations, where pizza shops sell pizza made by real Italians, where sports cars suddenly make sense because they are driven at appropriately sporty speeds. Visit Pirelli Tower, Da Vinci’s Last Supper, Duomo and the city heart for some exquisite shopping experience.

Day 9

MILAN – BERNINA EXPRESS / CINQUE TERRE

After breakfast, proceed for Bernina Express – An unforgettable experience including one of the world’s great train journeys – Italy and Switzerland Leaving Milan, head into northern Lombardy arriving in the picturesque town of Tirano mid-morning. There is free time to explore the Old Town with its cobbled streets, to stroll up the lanes leading to the mediaeval Porta Bormina and to have an early lunch before boarding the Bernina Express train early in the afternoon. The spectacular journey through valleys, gorges and past glaciers is a photographer’s dream. Little more than two hours later arrive in the famous Swiss resort town of St. Moritz. There is free time to explore this small mountain town before departing by coach for the return journey to Milan. You can also opt for the full day excursion to the scenic Cinque Terre, with its famous villages tumbling down into the sea against a dramatic coastal backdrop..

Day 10

MILAN – INDIA

After breakfast, spend the day at your leisure. Enjoy the day at leisure and take a stroll around the local market to round up last minute souvenir shopping. Explore the city at your own pace or visit one of the nearby towns of Verona. Leave in time for Milan Airport to catch your Return flight to India.
